To make a long story short, the picture on your Future Champions Pedigree Maker page is of one of our litters!  I may be one of the only folks that knows there are actually 10 puppies in that basket – look again, there is one trying to poke it’s head up in the lower left corner!  We had a female who had two litters of 10 puppies each (in 1974 and ’76)…all of whom lived.

That picture was taken in the fall of 1976 in our driveway in Lakewood, Washington.  We took a bunch that day, trying to get one where you could see all their little heads.  My dad sent the picture in to the American Brittany Club magazine and we didn’t hear anything for a couple years, then one day it appeared on the cover!   That was back when the magazine was a 5x7 type format…my dad has a copy of it framed hanging up in his hunting house.

I forwarded your link onto him and he got a kick out of it too!
